The Captain's Welcome...
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to The Royal Belfast Golf Club, one of only four Royal Clubs in Ireland and the oldest private Members' Golf Club in the country. Our aim is to ensure that all visitors enjoy great hospitality and friendliness whilst visiting our course and clubhouse.
The present course, which is our third home was designed by the great Harry Colt and has largely retained its original charm. A continuing challenge is that of maintaining the traditional features of a Colt course in the face of technological advances in modern golfing equipment. I believe we have struck a balance that will both challenge and delight golfers of varying abilities.
This August the Club will host the Girls' British Open Amateur Championship from 9th to 13th August. It is an occasion which will see some of the best girl golfers in the world competing over a five day period and it promises to be a wonderful golfing occasion.
I hope that you enjoy your visit to our Club and trust that Royal Belfast will leave a lasting impression on you. It is my sincere wish that you, like many of our regular visitors will come back to visit us time and time again.
